DB13 Error : PROF_CONN IN SYSOPER MODE

If your DB13 backup operation canceled with an error “‘CONNECT / AT PROF_CONN IN SYSOPER MODE’” then you should check OS group assignments for your SAP users.

I have got following error this morning ,

DB13 “Redo Log Backup” situation ;

DB13 Error : PROF_CONN IN SYSOPER MODE

Go inside of the erroneous entry

DB13 Error : PROF_CONN IN SYSOPER MODE

Click “Show Action Detail Log”

Check the log ;

BR0301E SQL error -1017 at location BrInitOraCreate-2, SQL statement:
‘CONNECT / AT PROF_CONN IN SYSOPER MODE’
ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
BR0303E Determination of Oracle version failed

DB13 Error : PROF_CONN IN SYSOPER MODE

Go to OS level and assign the SAPServiceSID user to the ORA_SID_OPER group.

DB13 Error : PROF_CONN IN SYSOPER MODE

Restart the operation and if your situation was same as mine then it will be solved.
