If you getting an error like “Error When Installing Permanent License Key” while installing the new permanent SAP license on the SLICENSE transation code then check the following solution for your issue.

I had the following issue a couple days ago , i got the licence file from the service.sap.com and tried to import over the transaction SLICENSE

but it gave the following message;

As you can see; “system number” is different than the system’s number

Then go to TXT file and oepn for EDIT

Change the “SYTEM-NR” area with which is system expected

SAVE

Go to –> SLICENSE and try to “Install License” again

Should be accepted by the machine
