TRFC SM58 Error “Name or Password is incorrect” for Workflow_Local_ClientNumber

If you are getting an error like “Name or Password is incorrect” for “Workflow_Local_<ClientNumber>” on TRFC (Transaction SM58) then you should check the Workflow_Local_<ClientNumber> RFC connection on transaction code SM59.

In this case you should get a screen like below on SM58 tcode

Go to transaction SM59 , find the defined RFC destionation “Workflow_Local_<ClientNumber>” under “Logical Destinations” and check the “Connection Test” result

If you get a result like below screen then you have to check WF-BATCH password to eliminate this problem , but you cannot change this defination under transaction SM59

You should go to transaction SWU3 and execute “Configure RFC Destination” selection which is under “Maintain Runtime Environment”

Related selection has to finished with OK status and should be look like below picture

Now RFC defination will work and if you go back to transaction SM58 and make the “Execute LUW” action (under EDIT menu area) for the records which are in erroneous state , they will be vanished.
