This post will show you how can you upgrade your HANA database from HANA 2.0 SPS3 to HANA 2.0 SPS4, so you can easily implement the same steps on your HANA system to upgrade from any SP level to any SP level.

First of all, we need to download the related upgrade package from service.sap.com with the below steps ;

service.sap.com –> Download Software –> Installation and Upgrades –> By Alphabetical Index (A to Z ) –> H –>

SAP HANA Platform Edition –> SAP HANA Platform Edition 2.0 –> Installation –> <Select the file depends on your plaform>

Start the upgrade process with the command “hbdlcm”

In my case, upgrade needed a linux package and i had to install it like below ;

System can realize which components are already installed, for our system, “server” and “client” components discovered therefore we can continue

SYSTEM password should be inserted, then we can start the upgrade process

And finally completed with the below message ;
